Why does dA have so many submission categories?

Seriously? It's so damned complicated... I never know where any of my work is supposed to go. And that final question: digital or traditional? It just bugs the hell out of me, because almost all of my work is BOTH. My best drawings start with pencil and paper, and the computer is used for "inking" and color.
